about OSD issue on DM355

All,

I want to use OSD window 0 to draw graphics or icons and use OSD window 1 as attribute window. When I set bootargs as "... video=davincifb:osd0=96x480x8,100K:vid0=640x480x16,1800K:vid1=off..." and run my osd application, I found the color distortion on OSD window 0. Please give me some clues. Thanks very much.

Additional infor:

I used PIXFMT_8BPP on OSD window 0 and displayed 8-bpp bitmap data on OSD window 0.

can you post a picture. Also, how are you getting your bitmap data into OSD (from a file?). Ideally, if you had a file with color bars such that you can tell us I expected this color for this bit value, but got this instead, that would allow us to offer better advice.

ok, i will post some photos to explain more. Could you please show me how to use osd 0 windows as bitmap windows (8bpp) to draw graphics or icons? I suspect my usage was incorrect. Thanks.

I have not tried 8bpp but if you can live with formatting your images in a rgb 565 format than this application note may be helpful, it was made for the DM6446 a while back but it still largely applies to the DM355.
