Linux/AM5718: HDMI not detected

I don't see any AM5728 pins here. Please post all HDMI pin connections on AM5728, including HDMI control signals. Otherwise we cannot come to any conclusion what's wrong.

You don't seem to understand me. I need to see ALL HDMI signals, and where they are connected on both sides:

hdmi_cec and hdmi_hpd signals are not being used.

Connections seem OK. Do you have external pullup resistors on the HDMI1_DDC and I2C3 interfaces? Do you see activity on these interfaces?

We have external pull ups on HDMI1_DDCA_clk and HDMI_DDCA_sclk pins and I2C3 interface also.No activities seen om these interfaces.

Hii,

After adding the respective nodes to dts and pin mux configurations,the chips(ADv7611 and ADv7393) are detecting now.But when we run the kmscube application from linux it prints as below :

root@am57xx-evm:~# kmscube
trying to load module omapdrm...success.
no connected connector!
failed to initialize DRM

What can be the reason for this ?

Hello,

What is the output of:

modetest

Could you try :
kmscube -c <connector-id>

Modetest demo will print the connector ID if any.

Hi Margarita,

After modifying the HPD details, we are able to get the HDMI display connected to DSP and able to run kmscube application.

Can you please tell me the steps to rebuild the kmscube app ?

Now I am getting following error while rebuilding kmscube after some modifications :

Hello,

You could use this command to build kmscube:

MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake kmscube

when is done check here:

/tisdk/build/arago-tmp-external-linaro-toolchain/work/am57xx_evm-linux-gnueabi/kmscube/1.0.0-r7.tisdk0/git

If you want to recompile the kmscube :

MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake kmscube --force -c compile

For the error, that you are observing could you try:

MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake -c cleansstate libdrm

MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake libdrm

- export TOOLCHAIN_PATH_ARMV7=$HOME/gcc-linaro-7.2.1-2017.11-x86_64_arm-linux-gnueabihf

-  @KMS_MODE/tisdk/build/arago-tmp-external-linaro-toolchain/work/am57xx_evm-linux-gnueabi/kmscube/1.0.0-r11/git/

                  :     MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake -c cleansstate libdrm                 -------> pass

                  :     MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake kmscube --force -c compile      -------> fail

                  :     MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake libdrm --force -c compile           -------> fail

With last two commands I still face the same issue.

Can you please let me know where I am going wrong.
