Hi sir,

I am planning to connect an led MPN: WP42WUM/EGW with 30mA forward current to one of the GPIO pins of TMS320DM8168.

Please let me know if the gpio pin can drive the led.

    Hi Shyama,

    No, you can not drive LED (30mA forward current) directly from GPIO because the max output current per pin is 6mA. Check DM816x datasheet, section 5.3 Recommended Operating Conditions.

    You can use driven transistor/buffer.
