Linux/AM5718: ADV7611 and ADV7393 support for HDMI output

Hi everyone,

On our custom am5718 board, we have HDMI connected as attached image. If we remove the ADV7611 and ADV7393 from our HDMI path, we are able to run ksmcube application and is running without issue. But with the above chips included, we are not seeing anything on the diplay. Using modetest command, it is listing the diplay details. we have added adv7393 and ADV7604(for supporting ADV7611) in our menuconfig and both are detected properly in linux as verified from the Linux boot prints. Someone pls help us with this issue? Should i modify anything on the default configuratuion in drivers given or same default configuration will work?

Hi,

Could you share the full bootlog? Also any console output you get when you fail to run the kmscube (maybe run dmesg | tail after unsuccessful execution of kmscube).

while running kmscube application, am not getting any error. but nothing is displayed. Please find the attachment for the bootloag.

regarding v4l2 driver, any configuration is required in Linux?

Hello Noufal,

I am wondering if you are observing any data/clock activity on an oscilloscope while probing the inputs/outputs of the ADV7611 and ADV7393. Based on your previous post, it seems like the AM5718 is outputting the appropriate signals but somewhere between the two chips it is getting lost.

Issue resolved.

Issue was in configuration of ADV7393.

From HDMI we were driving Progressive output but ADV7393 was expecting either 525i or 625i resolution as input in SD format.
