Linux/AM5718: problem in custom application

Part Number: AM5718

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

We have customised the am5718 processor using sdk ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.02.00.10. We are able to enter in to the root successfully and after loading TFT application we are facing the problem related to the navigation keys. The navigation keys will get disappear for a while and that particular key spot will remain black for sometime after pressing that particular key. Kindly suggest us how can we resolve the issue with the custom application and the navigation keys.

Thanks and Regards,

A.Mounika.

  • Hello A.Mounika,

Your navigation keys are probably falling into race condition with an another application like seen in this thread. Please, check this out.

    Best regards,
    Kemal

  • Hi,

I have gone through the thread and in that they are having the weston application running but whereas the application which we are using doesn't have weston services as it is based on systemd services. So kindly suggest what might be the problem.

    Thanks and Regards,

    A.Mounika.

  • And the below listed processes are running while the application is running.

Can you change this command to root       691   653 98 03:34 ?        00:15:22 /home/medha/TFTSoft/TFTAPP -platform eglfs and retry?

  • Hi Sir,

We tried as you suggested and the application didn't run and we have observed the below messages in the console.

If you want to run this program as a server,
    add the "-qws" command-line option.

  • Can you recompile this application against ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.02.00.10 Qt environment? These two links might be in helpful.

  • Hi Sir,

As our custom application is compiled with Qt4 libraries and due to the time constraint presently recompiling

the application with the Qt5 libraries may not be possible. So, kindly can you help us where can we get the

Qt4 libraries inorder to rebuild the application with Qt4 libraries.

    Thanks and Regards,

    A.Mounika.

  • Hello A.Mounika,

AM57xx is a quite a new platform so that there is no old Processor SDK version with Qt4 support for it.

    Best regards,
    Kemal
