TDA2PXEVM: Frames drop after using sync link

Hello All,
I'm working on TDA2PX EVM and visionSdk 3.5 version.
I have following usecase:
NetworkRx (A15) -> Decode -> Sync -> Dup -> Alg_Plugin1 (DSP1) -> Merge

Dup -> Alg_Plugin2 (DSP2) -> Merge

Dup -> Alg_Plugin3 (DSP1)

Merge -> Sync_1 -> DssM2mWb -> Display_Video
CANLink (IPU1_0)

ssdOverlayLink (IPU1_0) -> Display_Grpx
I used Merge link to merge output of two Alg_plugins and sync link to synchronize them. But I get black screen as a output and frame drop in Alg_plugin1(processing of Alg_plugin1 & Alg_plugin2 is commented). I used DSS link as I want split view at the output.

Hi,
There is something wrong going on with ALG_FisheyeCalib and ALG_2DSURROUNDVIEW link.
this link is drooping all frames, Please check this link.
And you are feeding input to these links from sync link which will give frame composite buffer.
So whether this link support that input?
And where are you feeding output of Alg_Plugin3 (DSP1) link?

ALG_FisheyeCalib and ALG_2DSURROUNDVIEW link just takes composite input containing 4 frames and copies one frames in output (System_VideoFrameBuffer) buffer.
Output of Alg_Plugin3 is just status , that's why it has no output and input is released as output.
When I dont use Sync link i.e o/p of merge link is directly given to DSS link then I get flickering output .
Frame drop occur after using Sync link.

Hi,
Even if you remove sync_1 link you will get only around 0.5 fps.
Are you getting complete 30 FPS after removing sync_1 link.
You can increase the threshold of sync link to proper value so that it wont drop frames.

After removing sync_1 link the output of merge link is going into display link or dssm2mwb link?

Hi Anuj,
When I set threshold for sync_1 link to a higher value, I get getEmptyOutBuffers status = -1 for ALG_2DSURROUNDVIEW and ALG_FisheyeCalib links and all the FPS drops there.
When I use merge - > Display , I get 30 FPS at the display as I commented processing of ALG_2DSURROUNDVIEW and ALG_FisheyeCalib plugins and i'm just copying input to output for now.

Hi,
From your shared observation its clear that there is some issue in your link processing.
You can remove Alg_plugin3 which has no output link and try.
Threshold of sync link should be the twice the max latency of your other 2 alg link.
