Bad Magic Number 0xea001ffe

Hi,

I have downloaded the uImage that came with the DM355 installation, and when I boot from the flash I am getting an error of Bad Magic Number 0xea001ffe and then it says Bad Magic Number.

Bad Magic Number means that the image is corrupt, but its the image from the installation, so I dont know how it can be corrupt.

  • As you suggested, bad magic number suggests a corrupt Linux kernel.  This is indeed odd; I tried the original uImage that comes pre-built with DVSDK release 1.30.00.41 and had no issues.  I would suggest rebuilding uImgae (quicker) or re-downloading and installing dvsdk_setuplinux_1_30_00_41.bin; the latter will take a little longer but may be a better options if you suspect other files may be corrupt as well.
