SRIO - please explain the CBA_TRANS_PRI bits

Hi

Sprue13 states theCBA_TRANS_PRI bits as the "DSP system transaction priority". What does CBA stand for and "system priority" means priority of the SRIO port relative to what other devices?

Cheers

  • This sets the priority on the internal VBUS transaction.  CBA is an internal acronym for Common Bus Architecture and VBUS is the DSP's internal switch fabric protocol used to move data anywhere on the chip.  Changing the priority of these bits can affect traffic when contention happens.  I've never actually seen these bits get changed and would recommend leaving them.
