Hi,

I cant see the device file for ttyS1...do I need to build this file then? Any suggestions?

Are you referring to the device node (e.g. /dev/tts1)? I belive the kernel only enables UART0 by default, you need to take steps; see the following post for more details: http://community.ti.com/forums/t/2425.aspx
