Hi Alan,
For longevity I assume you are referring to the device remaining active on ti.com and orderable. To my knowledge we don’t have any plan to end of life this device. In general we don’t obsolete devices for convenience. The apps engineer supporting this product is out until next Tuesday. I'll defer to him weigh in on this as well.
Thanks
Christian
Alain,
I concur with Christian's comments.
For Texas Instrument's official policy, you can visit our quality policies page on the web.
From here, click on the Product change or obsolescence notification.

Alain,
I noticed that you rejected this answer. Can you explain why, and what further information you require?
Regards,
Wade
Hi Wade,
We need a better visibility than "no plan to obsolete" when starting a new program and reviewing.
e.g it will be available fro the next 20 yrs at least
Can you state it?
or should I pharse the question differently: will this part still be available in 20 yrs?
Thanks
Best Regards
Alain
Alain,
Unfortunately that broad of a commitment cannot be made.
However, in the event that the device will be obsoleted, notification will be provided along with a life time buy opportunity.

Wade
