about JPEG decoder issue on DM355

Hi All,

When I decoded a jpeg attached to this post, I found that the image was not displayed correctly.(image corruption). Firstly I used jpeg decoder demo program to decode it to YUV format, then I used yuv viewer tool to check it and got this serious error.

It looks the U and V order in YUV data is reversed. Another issue is that I got error "Decoder frame processing FAILED, status = 0xFFFFFFFF, extendedError=0x8800" when I decoded some jpegs continuously. Your much help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't see an attached image, did you have trouble attaching it?

You should be able to insert it directly into the post now, but if that is not working you could post it on a public image site or go into your profile here and upload it under the 'my files' section.

I believe a reset (I forget the exact command, but it should be defined in JPEG user guide) is required before decoding each jpeg, when you are doing continuous jpegs back to back.

I forgot another limitation with jpeg decoding, please add rotation 180 degree. please try it again. thanks very much
