Hi Vinay,
Currently, the eMMC flash is not a supported boot device in the latest available PSDK_LINUX_AUTO 6.0 release. Please refer to the "Release Notes" -> "Release features" section (2.1.5.2) in the Processor SDK Linux 06_00_00_00 documentation for the supported boot options for this release.
However, the eMMC flash can be used to host your linux filesystem in this release. You'll need to follow the normal SD card boot instructions for linux on the J7 EVM. and then follow the additional steps for flashing your filesystem to the eMMC in Section 3.3.3 ("How to flash eMMC device") of the Processor SDK Linux release documentation.

Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for your reply, I have a couple of questions.
Will eMMC flash be supported as a boot device in the next PLSDK Linux release.
When is expected date for the next PLSDK Linux release.
Regards,
Vinay
Hi Vinay,
Let me go check as to when 'eMMC as boot device' support will be included in an upcoming release, and I'll get back to you with an answer soon.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Hi Vinay,
I have a status update for you on this topic. We will be supporting eMMC boot in our PSDK_LINUX_AUTO 6.1 release, which will be out in the next month.
Regards,
Jonathan
