AM4378: CAN questions

Dear Sir,

Recently we made a  HMI unit to control and display some industrial control application. In that TI SDK version 4.0  for TMS 437x evm is present .  Board boots up and comes with the root and evm displayed.But CAN  protocol is not working .How should i check it .

Pl give some sample program or the commands that i should try to see basically is it working?

Once it is working is confirmed, I need to use QT to make  my application code where in my message stream will go in CAN.

Since i am novice in this , i am struggling. Try to provide me the handhold path till i become expert

    Hi,

    Please take a look at this link which is the documentation for the DCAN interface. It provides an example of the CAN utilities package that is in the TI SDK file system that show how to send and receive data on the interface.

    Please try the send and receive commands provided in the documentation and let us know if the interface is working. 

    The CAN Utils is a package used to test the interface. It is an open source application that can be used as a base for applications like what you are trying to do. This is the link to git hub for the utilities. TI will not be able to support the application development though.
