Dear TI-Team,
I'm having issues with the AM654x-IDK and PCIe in RC-Mode:
When I connect a Gen2-switch and the switch is configured to x1 (upstream port), the switch is not identified by the TI-Board while enumaration.
When I configure the switch to x4 (upstream port), the switch is identified while enumaration and the connection is downgraded to x2 (max. lanes of the TI-IDK).
When I use another RC-device (e.g. PC), the switch is identified correctly, also in x1-mode!
Looks like the TI-Board is not able to downgrade to x1...
But on the other hnd, when I just connect a normal Gen1/x1-EP directly to the TI-IDK, this EP is identified and the port is downgraded to x1.
Ich checked the PRSNT#2-pins and they're both driven low, no matter if the switch is configured to x1 or x4-mode.
By the way, it's the same for the TI-Board, when I drive it in EP-mode. The TI-Board is not identified by the switch, when the downstream port is configured to x1. Only with x2, x4 configuration (downstream port) the TI-Board is identified...
What could be the reason for this behavior? Thanks in advance...
