TDA2E: is the app.out can be decompiled into source code?

Hi,

Because of some safety concerns on the product,

I want to know that the final compiled binary file of dsp, ipu or A15, such as app.out can be decompiled into source code?

If possible, can I encrypt it for them?

Is there a recommended approach?

Hi,

We have a security add on package which sits on top of PDK package of VSDK.

Please check docs of security package for more information.

Hi,

i didn't see any security add-on package under the path below,

ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_08_01_06\

ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_08_01_06\packages

and the doc of security package you said is VisionSDK_UserGuide_Security_Devices.pdf ?

Hi,

Its comes as a separate package and required different license.

You have to contact your local TI FAE.

But this security package can encrypt firmware of all cores and SBL decrypt them and load.

As you are using linux so kernel cant decrypt that and load. So it will not be useful.

And encrypting apps.out which is a linux binary is not related to TI.

Its an open question and you can google if anyone has tried that.
