TMS320C6678: Does the SYSBIOS application initialize the DDR and PLL?

HI:

I want to use SYSBIOS on C6678. I have following questions.

1. Is the "Clock Speed" setting in "Platform" used by SYSBIOS module?

2. Does the SYSBIOS application initialize the DDR and PLL? if not, Who does this?

3. I can set "Tick period(us)" in "*.cfg" file. From where that the SYSBIOS get the

timer's input clock frequency, so it can set timer correctly.

No, SYSBIOS doesn`t perform any clock or DDR configuration for the device. In a debug environment, the initialization in CCS is handled by GEL initialization scripts.

In production environment the initialization process is done using bootloader in the boot flow (ROM bootloader + secondary bootloader)

Once the initialization for the device clocks are done, users can pass the cpuFreq and Timer clock period to the BIOS configuration using BIOS.cpuFreq and BIOS timer module as described in the article here:
