TMDSSK3358: Touchscreen issue

Hi,

This is first time I am using AM335x Starter Kit TMDSSK3358 and I have installed SDK am335x-evm-linux-rt-06.00.00.07.img.zip by creating an SD Card on Windows. And after installing the new SDK .img file the touch of AM335x Starter Kit is not working, i`m operating starter kit through mouse, please help out me, how I can enable the touch of starter kit display.

Hello Tarun,

Are you using a stylus to interact with the resistive touchscreen (including during the touchscreen calibration process)? A stylus should produce better results than a finger.

Hello Nick,

Thank you for replying, but I have already used the stylus but touch is still not working, after updating the starter Kit TMDSSK3358 with SDK version am335x-evm-linux-rt-06.00.00.07.img.zip . I do not understand why the touch is not working with updated SDK version.

I have go through the link Starter Kit touchscreen issue but it does not work for me.

please help me out with this issue.

Hello Tarun,

Are you using the default Wayland/weston graphics? They are pretty sensitive, and we have found that tslib produces better results with resistive touchscreens. Please see Brad's guidance on using tslib instead of weston in the post how to build tslib. It is probably easier to rebuild yocto to have tslib than dealing with the tslib sources directly.
