Dear sir / madam,

I am Dharshak, currently doing my Master's. I am working on a project based on image processing. The C code has been written to process the image(8x8 bitmap image only), and is error free. The same program has to be implemented on a DSP kit TMS320C6713. There is a problem while simulating the C code in ccstudio. The following error is displayed when I include certain parts of the C code, and the same error doesn't occur when that part of the C program is removed. The error is

U: Memory Map Error: WRITE access by Default to address 0xfffffe60, which is RESERVED in Hardware.

I am using CCSTUDIO V3.1. Looking forward for your reply.

The GEL file you are using probably sets up the CCS memory map automatically. You can disable it by selecting Options->Memory Map and unchecking "Enable Memory Mapping". You can also remove the setup from the GEL file.

I looked again and the memory location you are trying to access is reserved in the datasheet memory map. You will want to modify your linker command file so that it does not place anything in the reserved sections of memory.

You can use CCS to load programs into the internal L2 RAM (address 0x0).
