Hello,
customer has a Ethercat application on the AM3357 already in production. Now he wants to update the ESC „build 0x3E3“ to „build 0x3E9“. How can he do that? What parts of the SW needs to be updated?
Regards, Holger

Hi Holger,
The 0x3E3/0x3E9 is PRU firmware major (03) and minor (E3/E9) version. Does the customer simply want to update the 'string' or firmware? Why do they request the specific 0x03E9 version?
Regards,
Garrett
Hello Garrett,
they ask for the 0x03E9 firmware because there were some bugfixes (error reporting of the port) inside.

Holger,
Do they also know which version of EtherCAT software? It's possible that multiple EtherCAT releases are associated with one firmware version.

Garrett
Hello Garrett,
the HW is already in production. Customer only wants to update the PRU firmware. Can he just exchange the new PRU binaries (in combination with ISDK 1.1.0.3)?
Or does he need to use latest SDK and Ethercat slave stack also?
Does he need the PRU patches?
Is the PRU version 0x3E9 the latest?
Regards, Holger
Holger,
0x3E9 is not the latest. You can extract the latest PRU firmware from the release http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-industrial-sw/esd/PRU-ICSS-ETHERCAT-SLAVE/latest/index_FDS.html which might work with ISDK 1.1.0.3.
I am closing the thread as we no longer support ISDK 1.1.0.3....

Garrett
