We have a device designed around a TMS320C6748. We are using a 3V litium battery isolated with diodes from the main 1.3 Volts. When the unit is powered, the battery supplies more current than when is not.. The Battery life is reduced to only a couple of month. Is there a better way to implement this?

Thank your for your help. This is a new design but almost going into production. We thought using those 2 diodes in that "OR" configuration will help. Also is difficult to drop from a 3V Lithium battery to the 1.2 V for the RTC. The development board OMAP-L138/C6748 LC Dev Kit that we have doesn't have many details. This all is in the Development board. I understand that I can't just connect 3 volts to the RTC_CVDD. I wonder how other people solve this issue.
