AM5708: DMM-TILER 180° rotation

Hi Champs,

I'm using Processor SDK Linux v04.01.00.06 and trying to rotate 180 degrees using DMM-TILER.
So. dose anyone have a sample code for the rotation?

Rotation through DMM Tiler is not supported on AM57x device due to silicon errata. Rotation can be achieved using GC320 IP (2D graphics accelerator) on the device. You can refer to video-graphics-test application in Processor SDK Linux for rotation feature using GC320. This application is not part of PLSDK 4.1. You will need to download latest SDK to refer to the demo application. You can learn more about the application here -

Is the silicon errata you told me i878 (MPU Lockup with Concurrent DMM and EMIF Accesses)?

Yes, that's the errata I am talking about. While errata is the primary reason, there are secondary reasons too because of which the feature is not supported by the DSS driver. We recommend GC320 or SGX IP to be used for the rotation feature.
