It sounds like you are trying to enable displaying the console over the video output? If this is the case I am not sure how well supported this is by the LSP, I have not tried this myself but I would not be suprised if it has limitations as I have never seen it used. Typically if you were to have a console displayed on the video output it would be through another software layer, such as x.

I believe he is making a suggestion to get the virtual console working, that vt.c file contains the code to generate a VT102 compatible terminal. I have not looked too deeply into what setting blankinterval to 0 will do, but I suspect this is not so much a question as a suggestion to try.

If I understand broken as the screen getting blanked off after some period of inactivity, then we bring it up again with "echo "0" > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank" on the console. This is what I found out when my screen blanks down after some time.

Just to verify I am understanding the issue correctly, our DM355 EVM board is up and running displaying something in the OSD (how, demos??) for some time; then suddenly the screen goes blank and you use

echo "0" > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank

to recover.  If this is correct, then please tell us how to re-produce this (e.g. are you running any demo in specific) so that we can investgate and/or file a bug.
