TMS320C6747: IBIS model differences

Part Number: TMS320C6747
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: D810K013DZKB456

Hi,

As you see in the original post, my customer has to move over from DA810 (400Mhz version) to C6747(456Mhz version) on their custom board. My customer is asking if IBIS model of TMS320C6747DZKB4 and D810K013DZKB456 are same or not. I've already suggested the customer that should be same behavior except USB1 related pins (These devices are basically pin compatible. I mean by "basically" that C6747 has USB1, but DA810 does not). Is that correct, right? It seems my customer would like to know TI's comment rather than mine.

Best Regards,
NK

  • Hi Kawada-san

I confirm the IBIS models for both devices come from the same source. I confirm that your understanding is correct and your customer should be able to use the IBIS models for these device interchangeably.

On a separate topic: Do note that we internally did confirm that C6747 is not tested at 1.2V @ 400 MHz, so if the customer is designing with C6747 they do need to adhere to its datasheet spec and run 400 MHz @ 1.3V. I believe this is what  had also recommended and that is the right recommendation
