AM3352: DLR connection to Ethernet PHY

Hello Team,

Could you provide an example of pin connection between AM3352 & EthernetPHY for DLR ?

Any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi,

    I think this most likely depends on network topology. Most DLR examples I have seen use a daisy chain type interconnection between devices on the ring. The AM3352 is capable of this type topology by using the CPSW in switch mode. This would require 2 external PHYs connected to the CPSW external ports.

    I am not aware of any specific pin connections necessary between the MAC and the PHY. My understanding is that DLR is a layer 2 type protocol which is above the hardware connection level.
