Can you expand on what software in particular you are inquiring about (DVSDK, MV Linux,...)?

Yes both DVSDK and MV linux.

You are certainly free to distribute TI source code (e.g. codec engine, demo examples,...);

With regards to MV Linux, you have two options

1) You can go into production with the old MV kernel that is included in DVSDK.  Please note that going into productions is different than simply distributing the source code; normally, we only provide DM355 software to customers that have purchased an EVM.  As a matter of fact, registration of an EVM is required in order to have access to our software update site (www.ti.com/davincisoftwareupdates).  How do you plan to re-distribute the software?

2) You can purchase one of our DVSPB software bundles which will give you access to MV Zone (Montavista software update site), where you will be able to access additional Linux patches.  This license also gives you the right to go into production with this Linux Kernel, but not to re-distribute software to other users (need one license per user).
