Hello

We want to test 16bit image sensor with am5726 Custom board, For that first, we want to do POC on the EVM.

Does AM5726 EVM support 16 bit sensor? If we purchase EVM then, Which camera sensor we need to order with it?

Hi Biser,

I did not find any specs for the camera. Is this camera throws 16-bit output or 8-bit parallel output. If it throws 8 bit then what will be your recommendation for the 16 bit.

Hi Prerak,

The camera interface used with the EVM is 8 bits. You can find the schematic and the BOM for the camera module in the schematic and bom packages for the AM572x EVM. The camera board is based on an Omnivision sensor and we worked with Omnivision on the design. We don't have a 16bit sensor example but you may want to contact Omnivision and see if they can support you.
