Hello, TI Experts,

Our customer sent us an additional question about EtherCAT SSC from the below E2E-thread.

They found below build-error by setting "DC_SUPPORTED=0" with SSC tool like attached pdf.

./EcatStack/tiescbsp.o: In function `Sync0Isr':

C:/ti/PRU-ICSS-EtherCAT_Slave_01.00.07.02/protocols/ethercat_slave/ecat_appl/EcatStack/tiescbsp.c:223: undefined reference to `Sync0_Isr'

./EcatStack/tiescbsp.o: In function `Sync1Isr':

C:/ti/PRU-ICSS-EtherCAT_Slave_01.00.07.02/protocols/ethercat_slave/ecat_appl/EcatStack/tiescbsp.c:234: undefined reference to `Sync1_Isr'

Question:

- Could you tell us the recommended way of how to build by setting "DC_SUPPORTED=0" with SSC tool?

We would appreciate if you tell us how to solve this problem.

Do they follow the procedure to build EtherCAT and set DC_SUPPORTED=0?

Any reason that they have to disable DC support?

They sent us the feedback as below;

-Their current development product don't support DC.

-So, they want to know how to build by setting "DC_SUPPORTED=0" .

We would appreciate if you tell us the recommended way of how to build by setting "DC_SUPPORTED=0" with SSC tool.

Hi matusan,

I could reproduce the undefined reference to `Sync0_Isr' and `Sync1_Isr' issue.

The customer may workaround the issue with adding

#if DC_SUPPORTED

#endif

around the #ifdef ENABLE_SYNC_TASK / #endif at line 1759/1826 in function void bsp_start_esc_isr() from tiescbsp.c.
