Bootloader for VC5504.

Have you used all the options given below:

hex55.exe -boot -v5505 -serial8 -b -i .\<COFF_OBJ_File>.out -o .\<Binary_Output_File >.bin

Hi Mughda:

I tried hex55 -h v5505 and it comes back with 'Help: no options match the string 'v5505'.

hex55 -h serial24 returns the response as above.

Please try specifying it as

hex55 -h -v

This will show you the help for the options of 'v' followed by the device number where we are supposed to enter the particular device number, in this case 5505. 

Have you tried the complete string that I had posted earlier? Also please keep in mind that spaces in the path name or file name can mess it up. I find it easiest to make a temp directory under C: and copy my hex55.exe as well as the .out file in it. Then open up a command prompt and change the directory to C:\temp. Make sure you use the command I had given earlier to get the .bin file. Here is an example:

C:\temp>hex55.exe -boot -v5505 -serial8 -b -i test_program.out -o test_program.bin

I figured out that the -v option is for specifying the device; however, it is still not clear how to specify a 24-bit serial device.

You should still use the option -serial8 option according to my example. The 24-bits are for the address.
