Hi,

I used TMDSLCDK138. The nand flash is MT29F4G16ABADAH4:D. What's the device ID? How to read the ID?

Hi,

You can refer to Processor SDK Linux for OMAPL138 devices. In u-boot/drivers/mtd/nand/nand_base.c driver there is a *nand_get_flash_type() function which reads device ID.

I have found device ID in page39. And MT29F4G16ABADA device ID is CCh. There is no CCh option in table 12 :http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spraat2f/spraat2f.pdf

I am confused about that, please help answer in detail.

Hi,

TI does not support the nand chips, and this is specific to the MT29F4G16ABADA device. You should contact the vendor support with these questions.

From linux perspective you could add the device ID (which is CCh) in u-boot sources: u-boot/drivers/mtd/nand/nand_ids.c and u-boot should be able to detect and recognize the device.
