Hi,

We are planning to upgrade one of our product which is based on TMS320C52PJ57 DSP Processor. The major code/algorithms are in ASM. Can you please suggest the best suited active DSP processor which is backward compatible with TMS320C52PJ57, so that we can maintain the ASM code as such.

Hi Manoj

This is a 25+ year old device , so there will be no active processors that will give you ASM code compatibility.
if it is a new development I would ask you to consider C6000 device family like the c6748 and c6747 devices.

There are newer C5000 devices, but they have limited supported.

I think this device is quite old, and you won't be able to leave the asm code as is. However, maybe the closest processor to yours is TMS320C5517: http://www.ti.com/product/TMS320C5517
