Hi:
My customer is having issue bumping the MPU (core) speed to 720 or 800Mhz on the DM37x board. And here are some observations.
- Modified the X-Loader appropriately to select the correct PRCM values for speed up gradation.
- The Linux kernel already has the “cpufreq” driver to manipulate the frequencies at runtime.
- We experimented by changing frequency on the OMAP3EVM (ES1.2) board we have and we were able to set it at 800Mhz and 1GHz.
- However when we tried the same thing on the customer's board the changes did not take effect.
- When we verified the Die IDs of the OMAP37xx they were different. We are not sure if this is supported on the processor we have used.
The Die ID is:
Sr. No |
PCUTouch OMAP37xx |
OMAP3EVM – 37xx |
Die ID: |
1f1200011ff0000001592f350100c009 |
058c00211ff00000015a5e590f02a005 |
PMIC Chip |
TPS65930 |
TPS65950 |
Can some one throw light on what could be the issue ?.
Thanks,
Pradhyum
