TDA3: 1GHz DSP and current consumption

Hello.

The question consists of two parts.

Part 1.

TDA3 data sheet contains the information about devices with speed grade of 1 GHz for DSP core (TDA3xxS).

Are these devices already available for purchasing? What are the exact part numbers?

Part 2.

Previously we have tested two different speed grade devices of DM648.

We took one device with 900MHz-grade and another one 800MHz-grade.

We concluded during tests, that 900MHz-device consumes less amount of energy than 800MHz-grade working on the same clocking frequency 500MHz.

Will this tendency be saved on TDA3xxS devices vs TDA3xxR?

You can find the full part number based on the Device Nomenclature section towards the back of the Data Manual.

That finding is surprising. I don't think there should be a difference in power/energy when running at 500 MHz on either the -S or -R TDA3x device.
