[TDA4]IPC/LLD echo_test issue

Hi,

   I test echo_test in all cores by SPL loading mode , but in linux remoteproc print log, only work in :

   IPC_echo_test (core: mcu3_0)

   IPC_echo_test (core: C66X_1)

   IPC_echo_test (core: C66X_2)

   IPC_echo_test (core: C7X_1)

   IPC_echo_test (core: mcu2_1)

   IPC_echo_test (core: mcu3_0)

  It is not all core work, why?

    Hi,

    Linux SPL loads the binaries from /lib/firmware. 

    There are soft link which point to binaries which is being loaded.

    can you please run "ls -al /lib/firmware" on the targetfs?

    Lei,

    Other two cores are loaded by R5 SPL. A72 only loads 

    C66X_1, C66X_2,  C7X_1, mcu2_1,  mcu3_0

    Please interrupt the boot, and print env variable.

    rproc_fw_binaries=3 /lib/firmware/j7-main-r5f0_1-fw 4 /lib/firmware/j7-main-r5f1_0-fw 6 /lib/firmware/j7-c66_0-fw 7 /lib/firmware/j7-c66_1-fw 8 /lib/firmware/j7-c71_0-fw

    Santosh,

      The /lib/firmware/*fw  can loading by uboot boot or  remoteproc by my test.

       But  I am confused about the following two situations：

       1. If uboot loading fw, then remoteproc start & stop  not working. 

       2. If uboot not loading fw, then the first remoteproc work normal, but the second operation not working

      why do this?

    Lei,

    Yes, ipc_echo_test does not work in second boot. This test was not designed for this functionality. Response_thread is blocked in rpmessage_recv and therefor it does not go in idle instruction. So when unloading, it does not go though clean power down sequence.
