I am interested in using the IVA 2.2 sub-system of OMAP3530 and have recently started looking at the Technical Reference Manual for the IVA 2.2 subsystem. To me it looks like most of the multimedia acceleration is accomplished by the use of the dsp core. Please correct me if I am wrong. There is a video accelerator in the sub-system in addition to the dsp core and I am really interested in knowing how to access the video hardware. I have worked with 64x+ dsp core and am able to write and debug basic programs. However, the video hardware is new to me. Also, I have not worked with the Codec Engine and have not played with DSP I/O yet. It would be very helpful if someone could point me to either some documentation or some wiki page / tutorial that helps in getting started with the video accelerator and DSP I/O. I have been searching for IVA 2.2 information specifically and the only relevant document that I found from the web so far is the TRM. The TI wiki pages and dsplink documentation helped me in getting started with dsplink application writing and debugging. I am curious whether there are similar resources for maximizing the use of the IVA 2.2 subsystem. Thank you in advance for your help.
