Hello,
The 10GbE user's guide mentions in section 2.6 that the Physical Coding Sublayer supports Forward Error Correction (FEC). But section 3.5.9 PCSR Forward Error Correction Register (PCSR_FEC) describes the enable bits as "tbd".
Is this feature supported?
Thank you.
Best regards,
François.
Hi Francois,
I checked both Processor SDK RTOS & Linux SDKs and the PCSR_FEC register is not set in either of them. I believe this has not been implemented in the K2H design. Let me reconfirm this with the design team.
Also there is no information that this is enabled in the netcp driver:

Hi Yordan,
Thank you. Indeed, please check with the design team whether this function is in the silicon or not. I would rather suspect that it is there, disabled by default after reset, but has never been tested.
Best regards,
François.
Hi,
Sorry for the late response! We are still checking with design team and will update here.
