Hello TI-san,

I am checking the performance of the LDC sample code (m2mSimcopLdcVtnf) for ProcessorSDK 3.7.0.

In the original source code, it was displayed in the "HW Time in msecs" column with 12 ms after running the program.

Also, when I modified the source code (M2mSimcopLdcVtnf_main.c) to use bilinear interpolation,

it was displayed in the "HW Time in msecs" column with 8 ms after running the program.

If Mesh LDC was running at 500MHz, I expected that these processing times would be about half.
Are these processing times correct?

LDC processing would be half for bilinear mode vs bicubic mode. However, sometimes the bottleneck maybe memory read/write. Because of which you the total HW time may not be exact half.

Hello,

Is Mesh LDC running at 500MHz in this program?

If so, FHD processing with bilinear should end in about 4.15ms in calculation.

Dose it take twice as long to process because of just the memory bandwidth bottleneck?

Hello Yudai,

By default Mesh LDC runs at 350MHz.

Can I run Mesh LDC at 500MHz in this program?

If yes, could you tell me how to change the frequency of Mesh LDC to 500MHz?

Hello Yudai,

Yes, you need to change to OPP_High to run ISS/LDC at 500+MHz.

How do I make changes in this sample code (C:\ti\PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_07_00_00\ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_10_03_07\packages\ti\drv\vps\examples\iss\m2mSimcopLdcVtnf) ?

Should I change this file?

Yes, this file is also used for TDA2PX. and i think RVP also uses same file.

Btw, are you using Linux or sysbios on A15?

I tried your suggestion but the processing time did not change.

sbl_lib_tda2xx_prcm_dpll.c doesn't seem to be used

because there is no error even if m2mSimcopLdcVtnf is built by intentionally including a syntax error in sbl_lib_tda2xx_prcm_dpll.c.

No, I'm running this program on M4 using a debugger.

Do I need to change another file?

If yes, which file should I change?

Okay.. That makes sense now.. All the changes we were suggesting was SBL which was not running in your setup... you need to change the below in GEL

I changed TDA2Px_startup_common.gel and tried runing m2mSimcopLdcVtnf, and confirmed that the processing time was shorter.

It seems that the frequency of LDC could be raised.
