TDA4VM: Boot error

Received the following issue / error with a customer attempting on their own TDA4VM-based board:

Reading on-board EEPROM at 0x50 failed1

Ti_sci_clk_set_rate: set_freq failed (-19) (Repeated 3times)

Timeout during frequency handshake

###ERROR ### Please RESET the board ###

Hi John,

We would need more details about what they are attempting, and with what binary images, etc. E.g.: Which boot mode of the SoC has been configured (BOOTMODE pins)? Which boot media is on the board and being tried? Is it MCU-only boot, or the full SoC boot mode? Which binary images were previously stored on the boot media? Can we take a look at their board schematics?

Hi John,

Without knowing their boot image, their board, etc. , my guess is that the bootloader expects an EEPROM with board data in it (maybe our EVM has one, I didn't check) and their own board doesn't have one.

Hi John,

The error indicates issue with DDR (Ignore the EEPROM log, as this is not expected in custom boards)
Can they run some GEL files to make sure DDR is functional?
