AM3352: PMIC_POWER_EN pin issue

If there is sudden power cut, RTC is not generating ALARM2 event to pull the power_enable_pin low, so the once the device gets power it starts booting without any external event(Key press) , but in case of graceful shutdown(by giving "poweroff" command) the am3352 goes to RTC only mode and wakes up on giving external event even though there is supply off and on which expected. so we want the board to not boot without any external event when there is sudden power cut and and it comes back, kernel version is 3.14.49 and PMIC is TPS65910A3A1RSL, please help any help would be appreciable.

Linux 3.14 is too old for me to support on these forums. Please try with a more recent TI Linux SDK.

This may be normal behavior for the PMIC. After power is restored the AM335x will wake so your system can then enter RTC-only mode.

I'm not sure if there is a way to prevent this. We need to review the Embedded Power Controller State-Machine (Figure 6-1 of TPS65910 datasheet) to understand if there is a solution to your situation. Based on the state machine please find out why the ACTIVE state is being enabled.
