TMS320C6678: input error-stopped cause analyse

Hi,

I used two C6678 (A to B) with SRIO 2.5Gbps 2x, and the following problems occurred during initialization:

1. Repeat the power-on operation, and the input error-stopped problem occurs approximately every 2000 times;

2. May I use B to send a maintenance package to A to solve this problem. Is this solution stable?

3. By reading related posts, I find the reasons for the errors are as follows. May I confirm which is, and i want to know the detail about the error.

1) The port0 detected a delineation error. The port received an unaligned /SC/ or /PD/ or undefined code-group

2) The port detected an illegal character

3) A character which is not a part of IDLE1 sequence has occured after link initialization

Hi,

Can you explain how do you do the power on and off test? Is there a time gap from off to on and if both c6678 cards are powered on at the same time or SRIO is initialized at the same time?

i tried again.

1. two C6678 are plugged into a backplane, power on and initialize at the same time, and 1 min between power on.

2. Monitor the SRIO initialization registers after initialization is completed, and find that the input error-stopped problem occurs every 2000 times.

3. Check the register status after the error, and find port0 detected a delineation error. The port received a 'misaligned / SC / or / PD / or undefined code group' . What is the general reason for this?
