TDA4VM datasheet (TDA4x_SR1.0_DM_vD.pdf) Figure 5-3

The VDDAR_MCU have two different requirement for T1 and T2. Can you please check which one is correct ?

1. VDDAR_MCU / T1

2. VDD_MCU. VDDAR_MCU / T2

VDD_MCU (MCU voltage domain supply) voltage range: MIN/0.77V; NOM/0.8V; MAX/0.89V.
VDDAR_MCU (MCUSS RAM supply) voltage range: MIN/0.82V; NOM/0.85V; MAX/0.89V.

Hi Yutai Li,

These are two different voltages. VDDAR_MCU is the power supply for the MCUSS RAM, while the VDD_MCU is the power suppy for the MCU core.

Hi Yutai Li,

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I was probably looking at a wrong document. Now that I am looking into it, it definitely looks convincing. Let me check if there is an errata on the data sheet, the data mostly doesn't coincide with the legend. I'll get back to you on this.

Hi Yutai Li,

I couldn't find an errata on this. My best guess is that VDDAR_MCU corresponds to T1 and VDD_MCU corresponds to T2. I'll get back with a confirmed answer in 2-3 days.

Hi Yutai Li,

There are 2 options to supply VDDAR_MCU power.

One is VDD_MCU and VDDAR_MCU are separated. In this case VDDAR_MCU follows T1 timing and VDD_MCU follows T2 timing.

The other one is combining VDD_MCU and VDDAR_MCU to the same power supply. In this case both VDD_MCU and VDDAR_MCU follow T2 timing.

The datasheet will be updated in the future revision to make it clear about this point.
