C5510 Power-On vs. Reset Timing requirements

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320VC5510A

I'm trying to figure out the requirements of the C5510's reset line at power up.  My application is one where I desire to power-cycle the C5510, in order to save power, at arbitrary times.  When powering off then powering back on, I remember reading somewhere that the chip should be held in reset until the chip's power input is stable and at nominal voltage.  However, I cannot find any reference to this.  I've looked through the SPRS76 - TMS320VC5510A Fixed Point DSPs manual thoroughly, but to no avail.

Can someone point me towards a reference for proper power-up / reset behavior and timing?  i.e. does the chip need to be held in reset and for how long after the voltage stabilizes?  Any help is appreciated!
