Hi,

We would like to get a clearance for TI version of OpenCV with Black Duck. To get clearance, we need to also get clearance for the dependencies of OpenCV also. Currently, TI OpenCV is dependent on an older version and also using older versions of dependencies. I have followed and found the code base for the older versions but not for the Intel dependencies (ippicv and TBB). I appreciate it if you could help me with the issue.

1) What version of OpenCV / Processor SDK are you using?

2) Could you clarify what you mean by "get a clearance"?

3) Could you clarify what you mean by "dependent on an older version and also using older versions of dependencies"?

Thank you very much for your fast response. I will try to answer your questions one by one.

1) The version of the SDK is PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM57X 06_01_00_08

2) My organization uses Black Duck for the clearance. Clearance means, if you are including / using an open source project / code in your project, it needs to be checked for the licences, vulnerabilities, custom control and other stuff. To start a clearance, we need to know the repository link of the source code and which version we are using and in which branch that version is.

3) Current version OpenCV delivered by TI in the SDK is 3.1.1.0. And the latest OpenCV release is 4.2.0. That means TI delivering and an old version of OpenCV. And that old version is dependent on old versions of ippicv and tbb. And I cannot find the source code of this libraries. Even, I cannot find the version of ippicv, when I search the repository of OpenCV: https://git.ti.com/cgit/opencv/tiopencv/

Long story short; I need the repository links and the versions of ippicv and tbb, TI version OpenCV is using. I have made a list on my side for the dependencies: opencv_libraries.pdf

Hello Mustafa,

TI forked upstream OpenCV, and added TI patches. The TI patches are at https://git.ti.com/cgit/opencv/tiopencv/log/?h=tiopencvrelease_3.1 .

Can you get the Intel dependencies (ippicv and TBB) from the opencv contrib repos at github?

Hi Nick,

There is no repository for ippicv at github. Additionally there is a repository for TBB, unfortunately in this repository there is no related version.
