AM5746: Android image on SD card

HI

After the beagle-board x15 build

I'm trying to put an image on the SD card
I run create-sdcard.sh and copy only the boot image
Main images such as Android Fs are not included.
SDK version is 'ti-processor-sdk-android-am57xx-evm-06.01.00.08'.

Can't I use both boot + kernel + androidFS on my SD card without eMMC?

Hello Choi,

The recommended boot method for android is thru eMMC and TI has validated eMMC boot. By default, the SD card boot is not enabled/tested. I am wondering if you could please share your use-case for booting from SD card.

Android production boot flow expects Images in specific partitions in internal storage media

In our SDK uboot : https://git.ti.com/cgit/ti-u-boot/ti-u-boot/tree/include/environment/ti/boot.h?h=ti-u-boot-2019.01#n33

you can see the following android partitions enabled.

The SD card boot method with all android images extracted as a rootfs is not longer supported in the distribution.

Adding to Krunal's question, would like to understand why you are trying to boot all android images from SD card instead of eMMC.

Accordingly can recommend some debug solution for you to try.
