Software UART for the C5502 via the McBSP port

I found 3 app notes covering the topic of implementing a software UART via the McBSP:

spra661a

spra882a

spra882a seems to be the newest of the three, as it references the other 2. It also references some code files which seem to contain the exact routines that I need to make the McBSP work as a UART, the problem is that I can't seem to locate these files. Does anyone know where they are?

You can find them http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_registered_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/ddk/DDK_1_20/index.html.

Go to C:\Program Files\ddk_1_20\packages\ti\bios\drivers\uarthw directory after installed DDK1.20.

Thanks for the help. A few more questions:

Has this code been ported onto the 5502?

If not, what would need to change for the code to operate correctly on the 5502?

Hi,

I have not seen that it's been ported to 5502. The first thing to check is that the all register are fit to 5502. Or check with compile options to specify 5502.
