Hi,

I use AM3359 and Linux kernel which is suitable for AM3359 ICE BOARD. The kernel supports NOR Flash booting but I want to use NAND Flash for booting. Is it necessary to change the kernel for NAND Flash booting? What should I do to use NAND Flash booting?

The TMDSICE3359 board does not have NAND on it. If you want to experiment with NAND boot you would want to use a different EVM such as the TMDXEVM3358 board.

The way our Kernels are configured they will support NAND out of the box. All you would need to supply is a proper device tree description of the memory, how it is interfaced, and about the partitions that are setup, see here for an example: https://git.ti.com/cgit/processor-sdk/processor-sdk-linux/tree/arch/arm/boot/dts/am335x-evm.dts?h=processor-sdk-linux-4.19.y#n547

Thanks for your reply. I am using AM3359 in may project. I want to add MT29F2G08AB my design. When I examined AM335 EVM Basebord schmatic I didin't see resistor value. Which value Should I use?

The schematic you have is for the AM335x GP EVM main board - it does not have the NAND populated hence all related components are marked as DNI. The NAND is contained on the daughtercard and the associated schematic can be found here:

http://www.ti.com/tool/TMDXEVM3358 and then go to ARM MPU AM335x EVM General Purpose Daughterboard Schematic

The schematic is provided in OrCad format *.DSN (I don't know why there is no PDF), so you would need to obtain a suitable tool/viewer to inspect the file.
