AM3352: RGMII PRBS generation

Dear,

It is possible to generate a continuous pseudo rando bit sequence (PRBS) on the RGMII transmit bus of the AM3352 MPU. I cannot find info in Reference manual in the registers description.

The objective is to check SI on the PHY input.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delay; I needed to check with the designer of this module to see if perhaps there was an undocumented method for this generation.

    Unfortunately his answer was that there is no way to do this. Perhaps the PHY you are using has a SI evaluation mode?

    Hi DK.

    yes, the phy has test configuration but it can only be used for the RGMII RX path. For the RGMII TX path the pattern must be generated by the MAC.
