QualiTI cgtools path

What is the correct cgtools path?

More specifically, I'm getting a run error from QualiTI saying "Test command execution failed -- most likely cgtools and/or utility excutables could not be found. Please verify that the tools paths are correct." I ask WHAT tools paths? WHICH environmental variables am I missing and WHAT should they be?

I am also unclear which C6000 code generation tools I should be using.

I have Start/right-click-MyComputer/Advanced/EnvironmentalVariables set CG_TOOL_ROOT="c:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\C6000 Code Generation Tools 7.0.1", but this doesn't seem to help.

There is a "Tools" tab toward the top of the QualiTI window where the cgtools can be set.

Thanks very much for that info, but I don't know what to do with it.

Specifically, I find the following values:

TI 'cg_xml' tools Dir: C:\USER_EDIT_THIS_PATH\cg_xml

C6000 TI 'cgtools' Dir: C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\xdais_6_25_01_08\packages\ti\xdais\qualiti\cgtools

Along with a note: C6000 TI 'cgtools' are currently bundled with QualiTI and cannot be edited.

Inside folder C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\xdais_6_25_01_08\packages\ti\xdais\qualiti\cgtools\bin

I do find nm6x, nm6x.exe, ofd6x, ofd6x.exe.

I haven't changed anything, so I still get the run error. What's wrong, my settings or my disk contents?

The QualiTI article glosses over this particular setup detail, so I can understand your confusion... you will need to set the cg_xml dir in that Tools tab.

This cg_xml dir is the location where you've installed the CG XML product - click that link for details and download info.

I'll add this to the QualiTI article, sorry.
