AM5718: OSAL build fails

I got an error when I build osal (from meta-ti). The error exactly happens during task do_package.

dwarfsrcfiles failed with exit code 1 (cmd was ['dwarfsrcfiles', '/home/chchwal1/poky_30_1/build-toaster-2/tmp/work/am571x_gw01_rt-abb-linux-gnueabi/osal/1_2020.1.22-r0.1/package/usr/lib/libosal.a']):
dwarfsrcfiles: /home/chchwal1/poky_30_1/build-toaster-2/tmp/work/am571x_gw01_rt-abb-linux-gnueabi/osal/1_2020.1.22-r0.1/package/usr/lib/libosal.a: not a valid ELF file

The same issue I have with the recipes icss-emac-lld and pruss-lld.

I run it with toaster. Until last week it was possible to build without any issues.

You will find coocker.log and logfiles for the osal task.

Hi Christoph,

It looks like you are trying to build the OSAL from git repo in YOCTO and failed at the package stage.

Are you using the OSAL for Processor SDK RTOS or Linux?

Can you download the latest Processor SDK RTOS or Linux from TI website and get OSAL from there?

Yes I'm bilding the OSAL with YOCTO (Poky).

It runs osal_git.bb which is the "TI OSAL library for Linux".

What I did is to delete the static library with a bbappend file.

It is a workaround for me at the moment

do_install_append () {
    rm ${D}${libdir}/*.a
}

I did the same workaround for icss-emac-lld and pruss-lld.

I'm not sure if it is related to a chnage in poky:

git.yoctoproject.org/.../
