Hi.
We are using the SDK6.1.0.0.8 with Customer PCB using AM437.
They have no EEPROM on the PCB.
So, how to by-pass the EEPROM code on the MLO/SPL?
We cannot see any console while booting the PCB.
THanks.
BR Rio

Hi Rio,
can you please review the following thread regarding removing EEPROM from the design:
https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/772835
I don't have any more specific steps at this time but I'm working on a board-port guide and this is one of the topics that will be discussed there (I still need to prove out actual steps as part of this effort). Beyond that we are planning on offering a type of minimal U-Boot / Kernel environment that won't rely on EEPROM to be used as a basis for custom board ports, but this is at least a few months out.
Anyways hope the above can serve as a starting point. If you have any feedback that could be helpful for others please let me know. I would also recommend using JTAG (w/ CCS for example) during U-Boot board port, I think it provides some invaluable insight as to where things may be stuck, eliminating much time spent on second-guessing what the actual problem is.
