TDA4VMXEVM: Anamolous behavior observed in profiling of AVP demo

Part Number: TDA4VMXEVM

Hello,

I am using PSDK - psdk_rtos_auto_j7_06_01_01_12

I tried implementing the demo application of AVP on EVM board.

I ran the application for 5 iterations for 500 frames.

I calculated the average of time taken for implementation of each frame for each iteration.

As you can see the average time for the first iteration of 500 frames is 81ms.

It gets reduced to 66ms for second iteration and stablizes to 33ms in later iterations.

When the application runs for the second time, the average time is 33ms for all the iterations as shown below.

This obsevation is detected after every boot-up

I would like to know the reason behind this anamolous behavior wherein the time taken for first few runs of graph is more than the time taken by later runs.

Thank you,

Ameya.
